The Open Monuments Days (Giornate FAI) have only just begun, and the next cultural events are already announcing themselves: on the occasion of the Giornate Nazionali delle Case dei personaggi illustri (National Days of the Houses of Famous People), the Palazzo Castiglioni in Cingoli opens its doors. We wrote about it in a previous article and now it also has an official website.
A visit is definitely worthwhile: the building is still regularly inhabited by the distant descendants of Pope Pius VIII (birth name Castiglioni) and is otherwise only open on request or on special occasions.
This weekend visitors will even be served wine in the old Vineria (the old wine cellars and stables of the house).
The opening times are:
- Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and
- Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
