Ecco Le Marche

It’s that time again! The first spring weekend is just around the corner and with it the Giornate FAI della Primavera. Every year the FAI, the Fondo Ambientale Italiano, offers a wide range of buildings, monuments, villas and other attractions not normally open to the public for visiting.

In the past years we visited the Oratorio di San Giovanni Battista in Urbino on one FAI Spring day.

The FAI was established in 1975 as a charitable foundation modeled on the British National Trust. He takes care of the preservation of monuments and buildings and has been organizing these open houses throughout Italy since 1993.

If you want to know what’s on the program for this spring (of for the peer Autumn event), go to this website here and click on the word mappa (= map). The Italian map appears, on which you can enlarge the region that interests you using the zoom function. Then you can see which buildings, factories or monuments can be visited where.

Alternatively, you can use the search function or search for places near you. For each place there is a description, the address and the opening times.

From the Eccolemarche team we will visit some of these places again, so that you can read a thing or two about them in our next articles!
