Ecco Le Marche

It’s a tradition I couldn’t miss this year. Paying a visit to the extraordinary Nativity Scenes all around Le Marche is an appointment my family and I have had since I was a very little girl. Every year I am sure that there isn’t a scene left for me to visit, and yet there is one more!

This year we went to Porto San Giorgio, to the Chiesa del Crocifisso. It wasn’t easy to find the exact place, so here are the Google Maps coordinates: 43.178584808136925, 13.793703686962143

Here not only the Nativity Scene is set, but rather a real pictures of ordinary life and jobs in our region. What’s more, the scene doesn’t end with the birth of Jesus, but continues until His Resurrection! Many episodes from Jesus’s life are represented here, and I must admit, I didn’t know some of them.

The thorough work of Renata Ficiarà is to be observed in detail and closer and closer. I am not sure I got all the little details in every scene!

The scene that I preferred? The whole wine-and-pork themed scenes, of course! Look at the details: the grapes, the gestures, the work. It’s really incredible!

The Nativity Scene will be visible until Sunday, 9th January from 10.00 to 13.00 and from 16:30 to 19:30.
